Program AppConfig je distribuován jako přímo spustitelná aplikace, která nevyžaduje instalaci. Po stažení je nutné program a příslušný konfigurační soubor typové aplikace dekomprimovat do vhodně zvolené složky. Pro zjednodušení práce lze na ploše PC vytvořit zástupce programu.
