DM-RTU\/TCP helps bridge these worlds without the need for major changes to the entire installation. <\/p>\n<p>Depending on the selected settings, the converter can be used to connect MODBUS RTU slave devices to a MODBUS TCP master control system, or vice versa, to connect MODBUS TCP slave devices to a system communicating via MODBUS RTU.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In addition to the MODBUS RTU\/MODBUS TCP conversion itself<\/strong>, the DM-RTU\/TCP can also function as a <strong>virtual serial port for a PC<\/strong>. This allows devices on the RS485 line to be accessible to a computer via Ethernet as an additional COM port. The converter can also be used to <strong>expand the number of serial interfaces of a control system<\/strong> using an Ethernet network, for example, when connecting a remote RS485 line.  <\/p>\n<p>Configuration is performed via the <strong>integrated web interface<\/strong>.
