AMiT DataDock – cloud solution

AMiT DataDock is a cloud solution for secure remote connectivity to AMiT Automation control systems, as well as the collection and management of operational data from anywhere in the world—featuring fully automated TLS/SSL communication security.

Concept and Architecture

• A cloud platform accessible via standard web browsers, designed for long-term operation and remote management of technology systems.
• The control system acts as a secure endpoint connecting to DataDock, allowing for both reading and writing of selected values.
• Automatic certificate generation for encrypted TLS/SSL communication between the control system, DataDock, and the user—eliminating the need for manual certificate management on the customer's end.
• Regular, automatic certificate renewal and rotation ensures long-term connection security without requiring administrators to monitor expiration dates or schedule replacements.
• Encrypted data transmission between the technology systems and the user, with server identity verification via TLS/SSL certificates; suitable for deployment in critical infrastructure environments.
• All communication channels with control systems utilize encrypted connections, with certificates managed and handled directly by the DataDock cloud service.

• An intuitive web interface for monitoring live data from control systems, including options to read and write selected values.
• Simple connection of AMiT Automation control systems, including configuration. secure access from the DetStudio environment.
• Archiving of operational data with options to select the time period and scope, followed by filtering and displaying stored values ​​in a table.
• Project structuring into folders for easy navigation in large-scale installations and clear permission management.
• All communication between the control system and the cloud is encrypted, with strict access control.
• Assignment of users to projects, folders, and control systems based on their organizational roles.
• Clear DataDock environment structure: devices, folders, archives, and users—all accessible from a single location.

Data Processing

• Option to securely provide data to external parties for advanced analysis, reporting, or integration into higher-level control systems.
• Support for scenarios where third parties apply their own algorithms to the data—ranging from statistical analysis and optimization models to AI and machine learning.
• Thanks to clearly defined API permissions and controlled third-party access, the user retains full control over who works with their data and the purposes for which it is used.
